Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 August 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Notes. By accessing or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Notes.

1. Operator and the service

Notes is operated by Viktar Harbatau, individual activity, of Daugu g. 4B, Vilnius, LT-02119, Lithuania. Notes is a lightweight shared workspace for short text and checklists. The current workspace is shared: anyone who opens it can view, add, edit, and delete its content. It is not a private account, encrypted vault, or record-keeping system.

2. Your responsibilities

You must use Notes lawfully and responsibly. In particular, do not:

  • enter confidential, sensitive, regulated, or personal information that should not be shared with every workspace visitor;
  • upload or post unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, hateful, or abusive content;
  • interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, probe for vulnerabilities, or use automated means that could impair it;
  • impersonate another person or use a display name to mislead others; or
  • use the service if you are under 16 without the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Content and availability

You remain responsible for content you enter. Because the workspace is shared, other users may change or delete content at any time. Keep your own copy of anything important. We may modify, suspend, remove content from, or discontinue the service where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or operation of Notes.

4. Intellectual property

The Notes software, design, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of the service or its intellectual property to you.

5. Disclaimers

Notes is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Notes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the service. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law, including for intentional misconduct or mandatory consumer protections.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Notes or the law. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service where practical. Your continued use after the updated date means you accept the revised Terms. Questions can be sent to notes-app-support@googlegroups.com.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania. Courts of Lithuania have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection law that gives you the right to bring proceedings in another competent court or retain protections in your country of residence.
